ABOUT LCBG

The Lake Country Basket Guild (LCBG) is organized to operate like a non-profit organization.

All communication is electronic. The Newsweave contains information about upcoming meetings, helpful weaving tips of the month, basket trivia, free patterns, basketry supply/business advertisements, and other weaving related items of interest.

We offer an annual Basket Fest around the end of April / early May with teachers from throughout the United States whose classes range from beginner to advanced weaving.  There is a separate Basket Fest registration fee and class fees.  Brochures and registration information for Basket Fest are usually available at the December guild meeting.  You must be a paid member in order to attend Basket Fest.  Shopping at our vendors is open to the public.

We offer a Best of Show ribbon for basket(s) displayed at the Wisconsin State Fair. The winner of the LCBG sponsored ribbon receives a certificate for a one year complimentary membership beginning February 1 of the year immediately following the State Fair.
