WHAT WE OFFER

 

We Offer monthly meetings held the second Tuesday of each month from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Galilee Lutheran Church, N24 W26430 Crestview Drive, Pewaukee, WI 53072

 

Communications of any kind are now electronic through group emails, our blogsite, and our website.

 

We sponsor an award ribbon for basket(s) displayed at the  Wisconsin State Fair.  (The winner of the LCBG sponsored ribbon receives a complimentary one-year membership beginning February 1 of the year immediately following the State Fair.

 

An annual event called Basket Fest with well renowned instructors from through-out the U.S.

Coming from the east on I-94

 

Take I-94 west. Take the County Road G Exit 291 toward Pewaukee / Waukesha.  Turn right onto County Road TT (north Meadowbrook Road).  Meadowbrook Road becomes Prospect Avenue/County Road G in Pewaukee. Turn right onto Crestview Drive.

 

Coming from the west on I-94

 

Take I-94 east.  Take the County Road G Exit 291 toward Pewaukee / Waukesha.  Turn left onto County Road TT (north Meadowbrook Road).   Meadowbrook Road becomes Prospect Avenue/County Road G.  Turn right onto Crestview Drive.  

 

 Coming from the north on WI-18

 

Take WI-83 south.  Take WI-16 east to County Road JJ Exit 188.  Turn right onto County Road SS/College Avenue/Frog Alley. Turn right onto Prospect Avenue/County Road G.  Turn right onto Crestview Drive.  

 

 Coming from the south on I-43

 

Take I-43 north.  Take the WI-164 Exit 50 toward Waukesha / Big Bend.  Turn left onto WI-164 north/Big Bend Drive.  Turn left onto  WI-59 west.  Turn right onto Merrill Hills Road/County Road TT in Waukesha.  County Road TT north becomes County Road G east in Pewaukee.  Turn right onto Crestview Drive.

PURPOSE

 

The purpose of this social organization is to preserve the art of basketry by providing a place for adult weavers to share different techniques and experiences in basketry.  The Lake Country Basket Guild values the diversity of all thoughts, and provides programs and services for the celebration and continued sharing of the art of basketry.  We are committed to providing activities that are non-discriminatory and equitable for participants.

MEMBERSHIP

 

Membership is open to people age 18 years and older interested in the art of basketry.

 

Annual dues are $20 for individual or  $45 for business (with advertising) and cover the period of February 1 thru January 31.

 

Dues are collected from November 1 to January 31.

 

Membership in LCBG is required to register for the annual Basket Fest.
